Our Club Profile
Glenavon Junior Football Club was formed in 1992 and operates in Prenton on the Wirral. We play our home games at The Glen and Solly Rec. and at Arrowe Park.
There are over 20 coaches at the club. Our team mangers and their assistants have all achieved the FA’s Junior Team Managers Certificate as a minimum requirement.
We have approximately 200 children and adults signed to the club from the age of 6 upwards.
We are affiliated to the Wallasey Junior League and in turn to the Cheshire County FA. Our Mini Soccer sides play in both the WJL and Ellesmere Port competitions.
We have recently established links with an 'Open Age' side who will represent the club as Glenavon Lancelyn. Many of its players were with Glenavon when playing junior football.
Glenavon was amongst one of the first clubs in the country to achieve FA charter status in 2001.
As we celebrate the 15th anniversary of our formation, our charter club status is set to continue
following renewal of our accreditation.
In season 2005/06 our club was awarded the Wallasey Junior League Club of the year trophy. |
