Ste's team won a tournament at the weekend and we went back for pre-season with Ryan's team. They were awful!
Phoned a club up on Sunday. They said bring him along but that they had a good standard of player (they are one of the top senior teams in South Australia).
It was quite funny you know how confident Ryan can be. The coach was a nice fella and a guy called Ray (worked with Spurs on their academy) made the trip to watch him.
So he tells Ryan to run with the ball at him and he put the ball through his legs twice! He came over and said they normally put the kids on trial for two weeks but he said after two mins he wanted him to sign him. (must have had a good grounding at his former club I think).
Coming to the end of our summer here and we coped quite well with the mid thirties but 40+ is hard, especially on a roof!
The kids love it though. Ryan is always doing something related to soccer (sorry football), swimming, and now tag rugby.
You gotta see the way they teach them to swim, the Aussies are special.
We are nearing the time for our slab to go down on our house (stress!) within a month.
Work is good. Ste has just got back from a couple of days away camping with the school.
Even getting used to the redbacks, huntsmen and white tip (evil) spiders. A Huntsman is about the size of your palm and I thought I would poke the first one I saw with a stick. I nearly collapsed when it went for me and sort of grabbed at the stick. I just leave them alone now!!
