1. The
name of the club to be Glenavon Junior Football Club.
2. The aims of the club are: -
a) To provide a means of entertainment and enjoyment
through the game of football.
b) To
improve skills and methods of our players within the laws of the game.
3. The club
will affiliate to the Cheshire Football Association each year and play according to their rules and regulations.
Executive
committee, which shall meet every month or more frequent as required.
The
committee shall consist of five officers of the club.
(v)
Fixture secretary
(vi) Along with two other co-opted memebers.
Voting
rights will be restricted to committee members only. However, the committee
will take into consideration the wishes of team managers.
At
least five committee members are required to form a quorum.
At
each committee meeting the team manager from each of the Glenavon Junior
Football Club teams may attend along with his/her assistant or representative,
thereby allowing information discussed at the meeting to be passed amongst team
members.
5. The executive committee will have the power to create a
sub committee for any specific purpose in connection with the club.
6. The officers
and executive committee shall be elected every two years at the Annual General
Meeting.
7. No alteration of the rules may be made except at the AGM or at
an extraordinary general meeting convened for this purpose.
8. An Extraordinary General Meeting shall be called within
fourteen days, on the signed request of more than fifty percent of the
executive committee.
9. Team managers will be selected by the
executive committee after prior consultation with parents at the first
meeting after the AGM
(a) The selected team managers will then be responsible
for selecting their own assistants.
(b) The team
manager and his/her assistant are responsible for all discipline whilst their
players are representing Glenavon Junior Football Club.
(c) The team
manager or his/her assistant must phone the result of their match within two
hours of the game finishing; the match team sheet must also be filled in and
returned to the secretary not later than that evening.
(d) It is the
responsibility of the team manager and his/her assistant to collect
the weekly subs, keep account of their players and provide the
subs for collection by the treasurer.
10. Each child
whilst representing Glenavon Junior Football Club either training or playing
must have had an indemnity form signed and in the possession of their team
manager.
11. Members
wishing to resign should give notice in writing to the secretary before the
first of May.
12. The
financial year will end at the end of April each year.
13. The Annual
General Meeting is to be held not later than the end of June each year, at
which time the chairpersons report an audit of the accounts and any sub-committee
reports shall be presented.
The
accounts should be examined by a chartered accountant and certified to be in
accordance with the books and records.
At least fourteen days
notice of the AGM must be given in writing to parents of the players of Glenavon Junior Football Club.
14. The
honorary treasurer shall keep an account of all in-come
and expenditure. The bank account shall be in the name of Glenavon Junior
Football Club and withdrawals shall be made in the name of Glenavon Junior
Football Club on the signature of the following: -
Any assets remaining on the dissolution of Glenavon
Junior Football Club after satisfying
any outstanding debts and liabilities shall not be distributed amongst the members but will be given to a registered charity.
15. Glenavon
Junior Football Club shall take out public liability insurance to cover all its
activities.
16.
Discretionary power is given to the committee to decide any circumstance not
covered by this constitution.
17. The voting
rights for parents shall be, one member of the family voting per child registered with Glenavon Junior Football Club. To be elected to the committee the parent of the child
must have been a member of the club for twelve months.
18. Any
motions or grievances should be forwarded in writing to a member of the
executive committee who will then raise the matter at the next monthly meeting
of the executive committee.
